I wanted to post about J.A. Happ. From what he has done since coming into the starting 5, he has shown he has the stuff to help this team. I know he's still a rookie but he has shown cool under pressure especially after facing today's Boston lineup.
The best part is that he's a cheap player along with the Phils having control of his rights for a bit more years.
Now, lets hope Myers comes back this year.
Playoffs anyone? |

Not too bad tonight. 6 innings pitched 2 earned runs. Course he gave up 10 hits and 4 walks over those six innings. I think he'll be getting better but we need Lidge back big time. Madson blew another save tonight and just doesn't seem to be himself or out of his league trying to close. Offense just isn't putting it together either. Relying on the home run is not a long-term winning approach.
Time for Charlie to go off on these guys in my opinion. |
