Well, I have watched all the Phillies playoff games this year and although the bats have come alive, the hitting so far this World Series has been horrid short of Utley's performance in game 1 and Jayson Werth's performance in game 3.

I know this team is built on the long ball but with so many men left on base, it's high time for some "hitting for average" players on this team.  In game three there were at least 2 bases loaded situation that clearly needed someone to put the ball in play.  Well, we got one ball put in play via the pop-up and another inning killer via watching a called third strike.

If the Phillies are really going to be a force in this league, they need to get some new hitting blood that doesn't striked out so much (can you hear my Ryan?) nor pop up most of the time (calling Jimmy Rollins).  The Phillies could and should be up 3-0 in this series.  (As I'm writing this, Ryan Howard strikes out again!)

I love the Phillies but they are really hard to watch since they are so hot or cold offensively.  I sure hope the offense wakes up tonight as going down 3-1 to the Yankees is not easily overcome.

Oh and another note, hey MLB get better umpires, get instant replay and get rid of the bull*hit "warnings" to the benches.  These are grown millionaire men, let them play.  I highly doubt Bob Gibson would tolerate this "warning" system.

Go Phillies!

Since when does hitting a camera automatically count as a homer? Removing the camera tonight just proves they were wrong! I know we haven't been hitting, but I'm sick of these bogus calls.
