So tomorrow night is the debut of Pedro Martinez.  It has been quite a long time since I've been this excited about a 37 year old pitcher.  But having seen the likes of the pitching staff these past few days, bring it on!  Jamie Moyer seems to have either lost his ability to pitch or the hitters are just tuned into him now that his turtle-speed pitches appear way too juicy.  The time has come to give someone new a shot.  I’m happy to see that J.A. Happ remained in the rotation.  At this time of year it is all about winning and not veteran status as was suspected could happen with Moyer.

Although the team is still 4 games up, having lost the weekend series to the Fish, this season is far from in the bag.  I believe, however, if Myers can come back and pitch effectively out of the bullpen and the rotation of Hamels, Lee, Blanton, Happ and Pedro can remain steady, a post-season run is quite possible.  Now, can the lineup return to early season form?

No matter the case, I already have my post-season package money ready to go.

Go Phillies!

Oh, and thanks to Bill C. for motivating me to get back into this.  Sorry for big span in posts but who knew kids were so much work.
